The BunkhouseA smaller house just a few steps behind the homestead, the bunkhouse has two
rooms, with a queen bed and two stacked bunks. It has a bath with shower, microwave oven, a mini-refrigerator, electric heat and air conditioning. The bunkhouse was also renovated in the fall of 2007. It was once owner Bob McKellar's home when the family outgrew the homestead.
The other buildings adjacent to the houses are made of native adobe clay by Hugh McKellar, the founder, and house a garage, walk-in cooler/storage room for fruits and vegetables, and a "wash house" built over the original cistern. The sidewalks are made of hand-hewn granite stones carried down from the Sierra Nevada mountains, and laid by McKellar when he created his ranch home. Five of the original seven sycamores still shade the property, joined by two newer trees upholding the ranch tradition.
